Growing up in a small town in WI was tough as a young queer person. Resources were nonexistent, homophobia was praised, and every day was a count down until I could move away to a “big city”. I started Le Queer to celebrate Queerness in WI and help bring Queer education and resources to smaller communities. Le Queer strives to break down the “closet door” and help in the movement to increase understanding and acceptance.
